New standard XP P26-335 for shutters: What you need to know

A new standard has just been published by AFNOR in France. Standard XP P26-335.

This standard provides a framework for the performance of hardware for folding shutters, sliding shutters and sunbreakers.

This document applies to overhanging mobile protective elements, aligned with the plane of the façade or set back into the opening, such as: sliding shutters; sliding folding shutters; sliding privacy screens; sliding sunbreakers.

This new standard specifies the test methods and the static, dynamic and corrosion resistance performances of the protective elements, to establish a classification of the levels of correct operation and prevention of risks, such as falls.
